Remapping done properly, by people who do it every day

Most people come to us for one of three reasons: they want more power and a sharper drive, they want better MPG out of a car or van that's costing a fortune to run, or something isn't right and the last garage couldn't get to the bottom of it. We handle all three, and we'll tell you honestly which one is actually worth doing on your vehicle.

Chester Tuning is run by Paul Duffield. Paul has been a mechanic since he left school and set the business up to focus on what he does best: remapping and ECU work. When you book in, he is the one who reads your ECU, writes the map and road-tests it, so you're dealing with the person doing the work from start to finish.

A remap is only as good as the person writing it. We map each vehicle individually and road-test it, so you get real, usable gains that drive well day to day, not a generic file flashed on and waved off. If a car isn't a good candidate for what you're after, we'll say so rather than take your money.

We also do the unglamorous but important side properly: real diagnostics to find the actual fault, AdBlue faults and warning countdowns sorted, and DPF and EGR problems fixed the right way so your car stays legal and passes its MOT. If a job isn't one we'd recommend, we'll explain why.
